For the ultra-cycling enthusiasts of all abilities, who would like to spend a week riding a bike with Marko and learning a few tricks of a trade along the way. Marko will lead the camp on the bike, together you will discover the riding and climbing in desert conditions. We call it a pre-RAAM/RAW Training Camp as we expect quite a few of Marko's clients and other cyclists preparing for those races to attend the Camp. The timing is perfect for a big (some call it Hell) Week before THE race.

Join us at our Training Camp with a host Marko Baloh, one of the best ultra-cyclists in the World, 10 times RAAM participant and 2 times RAW Champion. We will stay in Borrego Springs. Every day Marko will take you cycling through the best routes around the area, including the Palomar Mtn climb, from different possible directions. The descent into Borrego Springs called the Glass Elevator you will get to know both ways, up and down. So, if you are the one preparing for RAAM/RAW or at least dreaming of it, here is your chance to get accustomed to it. Ride with Marko as one of the most experienced guys in the ultra-cycling community.

The week will be comprised of high mileage/hours in the saddle. We will have SAG support with an experienced crew person to take care of our hydration and nutrition needs, as well as taking care of someone who might decide to cut a ride short.
The camp is created for cycling enthusiasts who would like to get in some incredible desert rides in a hot climate, maybe get acclimatized to the heat prior to their big race and have some unforgettable rides under Marko's gudaince. You will have lots of time to ask Marko about his training secrets and about his ten RAAM participations. In the afternoons/evenings Marko will be happy to share with you his vast knowledge of cycling and ultra-cycling.

The finish of the Camp should be spectacular with entering the Famous Borrego Spring Double Century on Saturday May 2nd!

The price includes:

- a stay in the hotel in a room with 2 occupants (solo rooms can be acquired for an extra fee of 600$),

- SAG support with a 12p Van on the rides,

- nutrition&hydration for the training rides,

- Marko's support nd guidance during the rides,

- Marko's expert advice on ultra-cycling, racing, logistics and more.

Not included:

- airplane fees

- transport from the airport to the hotel

For small group of cyclists, up to 8 cyclists. Marko will lead the camp on the bike, together you will discover the island of everlasting Spring.
Join us at our Winter Training Camp with a host Marko Baloh, one of the best ultra-cyclists in the World. We will stay in Maspalomas. Every day Marko will take you cycling through the best routes at Gran Canaria, including its highest climb Pico de las Nieves Pass. Gran Canaria is called the Island of eternal Spring, because of its climate which is perfect for cycling all year long. Ride with Marko and check it out for yourself.

We start with a short warm-up ride after your arrival on Monday (February 17th) afternoon, to get to know each other and get the bikes ready. On Tuesday and Wednesday we do two long (100-150km) rides, followed by a recovery ride on Thursday. Three more long rides on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday one of which will include the Pico de las Nieves Pass. For whoever stays only for a week, the Camp ends with packing and flying home on Monday. The others will stay for another week of cycling fun.
The camp is created for cycling enthusiasts who would like to get away from the Winter at home and have some unforgettable rides under Marko's gudaince. You will have lots of time to ask Marko about his training secrets and about his ten RAAM participations. Marko will show you the best routes of Gran Canaria, share with you his vast knowledge of cycling and ultra-cycling and have a nice word of encouragement when needed.

The price for the organization of training rides under Marko's guidance is 495EUR/person/week, 945EUR/person if you join us for two weeks. You organise your own flight tickets, transport from and to airport and a hotel in Maspalomas. If you want us to help with a hotel reservation, please contact Marko. If you do it yourself, we suggest you take half board, as lunch time will mostly be spent on our bikes.
